Scanning vs. Camera - Scanning Wins

I have this thing about scanning. it's probably Freudian, but I have it in my mind that it takes a lot of time to scan things. So, with these two entries, I've used my camera to photograph them. However, I don't like the results. Later in the week I will scan these and re-post the pictures. I might enhance them somewhat with the graphics pad I got for Christmas.
This was taken without the flash.

More Yohimbe Stuff

Finally, I'm back!! I haven't posted this year, but after speaking with a freind about the site, I felt it was time. I received a graphics pad for Christmas, and this is the first time I havve loaded something to this site that was totally created on the pad. You can probably tell that my technique needs a little polish. I drew off the edge of the pad (the finger is cut off on the left side). But, be patient htose who care, I will get this computer graphics pad thing figured out. I must admit, it was great fun drawing it.

More Backpage Stuff

Yohimbe is the Backpage version of a super hero. I plan to upload a few pages of sequential art (a comic strip) of this character. It should be up before the end of this weekend. I hope you'll like it.

I practice just drawing things capriciously. I'll try some color on thess in the near future.

This came out pretty light from the scanner. Maybe i"ll ink it so it is a little easier to read.

Color Acumen Eludes Me

I continue my attempts at coloring and inking pictures. I am open to suggestions. This is the best I’ve done on the computer with coloring the pictures. You will see an image for the before and after results of the exercise. But, I have a lot to learn. The picture is one from a Thank You card I made for my Mother. Thanks again Moms.

Another September ends and hence I age another year. Happy Birthday to me. Thanks to all of you that acknowledged my special day, that’s why I love you. Thanks to God for granting me another year of life, for good health, family and friends.

If anyone sees this and knows the guarded secrets to coloring art on the 'net, please, give me a holler in the comments section. Please note however, that I don't possess a graphics tablet just yet. I work in Photoshop to create the color and the text for the image above.
