Back Again After a Long Break

It has been too long since I last posted. I will strive to keep that from happenning again. My son has gotten on my case about this.

I continue on my journey to find myself as an artist and develop a style after a long break in the work world. I have focused on faces over the past few months and I have decided two things; one, to study and sketch the body more; and, (2), to concentrate on drawing from life models or photographs 'til I reach a comfort level.

I think the picture above is one of the better ones I've done in a while. I am trying to be in control of the final image and felt I accomplished that with this sketch.

These other sketches were fun to do, but I need to reference anatomy more in the process. A few years ago I had my area outfitted with a drafting board and "T" square. I am really missing that set up know.

The following are some miscellaneous sketchcs from my "winding down" time of day. That's the time when I get home from the office. I'm experimenting with various pens.
